Overview

ShiftGauge ("we", "us", "our") is an offline-first utility app for tracking shift pay estimates. This Privacy Policy explains what data is handled when you use ShiftGauge.

Information You Enter

ShiftGauge stores information you enter, including:

• Job settings (primary and side jobs, pay rates, pay period details)
• Shift entries, scheduled shifts, recurring defaults, presets
• Goals and progress settings
• Calibration entries (gross/net values you provide)
• Historical totals you enter
• Certification metadata
• App preferences and notification settings

Certification Files and Images

If you choose to add certification documents or images, ShiftGauge stores those files locally on your device/app group storage so they can be viewed in the app. You can remove them at any time in-app.

Permissions

ShiftGauge may request:

• Camera access to capture certification images
• Photo Library access to import certification images
• Notification permission to deliver reminders and nudges you enable

Permissions are optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.

How Data Is Stored and Processed

• ShiftGauge is offline-first and stores app data locally on your device.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use third-party ad tracking.
• Current versions do not require account login and do not provide cloud sync.

Widgets

Home/Lock Screen widgets read a limited snapshot from shared app-group storage to display your latest app data on-device.

Sharing and Export

When you use export/share features (for example JSON, CSV, or PDF), data is shared only when you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you edit/delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Certification attachments can be deleted in the app.

Children's Privacy

ShiftGauge is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When updated, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page.
